Faculty Association Asset has been founded in the summer of 2008 and represents the cooperation between all seven economic study associations at Tilburg University.
The goal of Asset is to provide services and activities for its members to enhance their study period at Tilburg University. At Asset, you can get study guidelines, join a company visit to get a look into real business, join one of our study trips or symposia and participate in one of the many informal activities which are organised by all associations of Asset.
Study exceeding activities
Asset organises several study supporting activities that are indispensable for students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. These include: the central book sale (a discount on your study books!), a database with old exams to practise for your finals, and tutorships for different courses. Asset offers students the possibility to come in contact with potential future employers. For example, Asset organises the Economic Business week Tilburg. The Consultancy Experience, an interesting case-like introduction to the consultancy sector, and the Orientation Day. Asset also publishes its own semi-scientific magazine.
To get a grasp about how theory works out in 'the real world', Asset organises activities that translate abstract books into sparkling events. For example, Asset organises the Satellite Exchange Programme, a two-week exchange with a partner university from a foreign country, the International Conference, the Interfaculty Symposium and several VIP guest lectures. Besides the formal activities that Asset organises, there are also several informal, social activities. The 10-barrels party, cycling dinners and active members weekends are examples of these.
