Committee Description
Every year we organise the European Travel; a trip of approximately one week to one or two cities in Europe. During this week we visit several companies, explore the city, get to know the culture of the country, and of course have lots of fun!
The tasks of the European Travel Committee consist of choosing a destination, arrange transportation, contacting companies, arrange cultural activities, arrange accommodation and of course promoting the travel.
When the committee is choosing a destination, a lot of factors should be kept in mind. The most important one is of course that it is payable and that depends mainly on the flights tickets and accommodation. However the city (or cities) itself should be interesting culturally, but also enough businesses should be present.
When a destination is chosen, indications of ticket and accommodation prices are already present. Thus then it is time to book those things and start with contacting companies. Also cultural activities can be arranged and gradually a programme of the week arises. Then it is time for promotion by means of lecture talks and posters and flyers. After that it is time to make a detailed script for every day and by then you will depart to your destination. During the stay you, together with the rest of the committee, will be responsible for the guidance of all students till you safely return in Tilburg. Last, after the trip, an evaluation of the activity and the organisation will follow to come up with recommendations and tips for the future committees.
The committee of every edition of the European Travel will start up in the beginning of the second semester. If you are interested in being a part of the committee of the European Travel 2010 please send an e-mail to
