Timon Bo Salomonson - Belgian Embassy

Timon Bo Salomonson (1973) is currently Counsellor at the Belgian Embassy in The Hague, dealing with political and economic aspects of the bilateral relations between Belgium and the Netherlands. As a diplomat he has served at the Belgian Permanent Representation to the United Nations in Geneva and the Permanent Representation to the OSCE in Vienna, where he presided over negotiations on the human dimension as part of the Belgian Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2006. He coordinated the Belgian policy on European civilian crisis management at the Belgian MFA from 2007 to 2009 and worked as an exchange-diplomat at the Dutch MFA, dealing with the Western-Balkans and acting as a contact-point for the Belgian EU-Presidency in 2010. He has conducted research at the University of Antwerp on the multilateral policies of sub-state entities. He has a Masters in Law (University of Leuven), a Masters in International Politics (University of Antwerp), a Bachelor in Philosophy (University of Leuven) and is finalizing his studies as a psychotherapist at the Institute for Communications in Kortrijk. He is married to Els Braem.
